Set-up and dismantling at a glance
Monday, 18 October 2021
7.00 am – 10.00 pm
Tuesday, 19 October 2021
7.00 am – 10.00 pm
All persons entrusted with stand construction must carry stand construction passes. This also applies to exhibitors, as exhibitor passes are only valid during the trade fair itself in 2021.
Please also note that during assembly and dismantling you are obliged to keep records: you or the service providers (stand builders, etc.) must record the names of all employees accessing the fair site. For the traceability of possible chains of infection, recording by name, date, and time stamp is mandatory. The retention period of 4 weeks must be observed, and attendance lists must be made available to the health authorities on request.
Set-up must be completed by 10.00 pm on Tuesday, 19 October 2021, and all persons are requested to vacate the premises by then.
Please make sure to keep the hall aisles free during set-up, as materials blocking the aisle is a hindrance and may delay the work by our service contractors. Any unrequired Frankfurter Buchmesse System Stand material can be left at the hall edges for collection.
Access to all fire extinguishers and hydrants must be kept clear at all times.
Frankfurter Buchmesse officially ends at 5.30 pm on Sunday 24 October 2021 – all stands must be staffed until then. After 5.30 removal of the hall aisle carpets will commence.
Packing up within the stands, the delivery of packaging material, or the dismantling of stands beforehand is not permitted.
All System Stands must be emptied by Sunday evening, 24 October 2021, at the latest. On Monday, the cleaning staff will empty the bench cabinets, dispose of contents and dismantle the stands.
Exhibitors with Custom-built Stands may use the following time period throughout to dismantle their stands:
Sunday, October 24, 2021, approx. 6:30 pm
until Monday, 25 October 2021, 0.00 pm.
Clearance and cleanup of the exhibition area must be completed by midnight on Monday. If a Custom-built Stand is not dismantled until Monday, the exhibitor is responsible for securing and guarding his stand and exhibits. The Frankfurter Buchmesse accepts no liability for materials not removed in good time.
Please do not lock up the phones after the event closes, but have them ready for collection.
Not only is it uncooperative, but also a violation of our Terms & Conditions to vacate or leave the stand before the official end of the fair (Sunday, 24 October 2021, 5.30 pm).
If your early departure is absolutely necessary, you can hire a hostess to look after your stand for around 190 euros (+ VAT) per day. See the Service Contractors page for details.
Extended dismantling for exhibitors with Custom-built Stands
Extended dismantling until Tuesday, 26 October 2021, can only be granted to Custom-built Stands of 40 sqm or larger, and is subject to logistics and availability in the relevant hall. Application for a permit by e-mail (stating company name and stand number) to firstname.lastname@example.org; deadline is 1 September 2021.
Extended Dismantling is subject to a fee of 765 euros, unless Early Access has already been applied for and invoiced.
Parking and traffic regulations and other important information for driving onto the exhibition grounds (vehicle registration)
Accessing the exhibition grounds during set-up and dismantling phases
Messe Frankfurt’s new Central Traffic Management system has offered customer vehicles optimised access to the exhibition grounds during the set-up and dismantling phases of events. For this purpose, we ask exhibitors, stand construction companies and freight forwarders to register online in advance.
Once you have a print-out of the registration confirmation, you can go to the specified check-in. Please follow the signs from the motorway exit F-Rebstock (address for your navigation device: Bruno-Poelke-Strasse).
During the set-up and dismantling phase (incl. early set-up and extended dismantling), vehicles may only access the exhibition grounds through the check-in. Here, the check-in staff will see whether a loading zone is available for you. If it is, you will be given an authorisation form specifying the gate through which you can access the exhibition grounds.
Please note: In case of high volume of traffic waiting times are possible at the check-in!
Please note that only vehicles with an authorisation form will be allowed on to the exhibition grounds.
